Sreylin began her career as a Cambodian actress, following her childhood dream of being an artist a singer and model. She encountered notable success early in her career before turning her attention behind the camera. Her early work as production coordinator and fixer started with TV commercials and music videos, which eventually led to documentary and feature film works.
In 2012, Sreylin worked on her first feature film, COMFORTABLY LOST, as a costume stylist, casting director, and second assistant director. Subsequently, she served as first assistant director on the popular Cambodian comedy GEMS ON THE RUN.
She has also assisted on high profile projects, including the Louis Vuitton campaign in Cambodia with Angelina Jolie, and the scouting team for KONG: SKULL ISLAND. Other collaborators include producer Nicholas Simon from Indochina Productions, Mexican assistant director Batan Silva, German cinematographer Martin Ruhe, Canal +, Arte TV, BBC, and the United Nations.
